Pluto Trigger is a high-speed smart camera trigger that's controlled by a free iPhone/Android app over Bluetooth that can be used for remote shooting, time lapse, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, video recording and lightning photography. It enables your DSLR to do high-speed photography triggered by sound, by light, or by something breaking a laser beam aimed at the Pluto Trigger (the laser is included). With the built-in PIR sensor, Pluto Trigger can detect animals’ body heat and take photos. It can also wait until a person is smiling to shoot a photo, or take pictures triggered by motion or vibration. You know those fancy photos of water droplets colliding in mid-air? There's a mode for that too(Droplet Valve required) -- 24 modes in all. See the Feature List.
Pluto Trigger has infrared(IR) remote control capability, which enables it to support a wide variety of cameras (not just DSLRs). It can also work as a selfie remote for your iPhone(Pluto Camera required). The app can even calculate depth of field, shutter speed when using an ND filter, 500 Rule and Sunrise/Sunset Time!
The camera shutter cable is required for the Pluto Trigger to work with your camera. Please check compatiblity list for the correct cable for your camera and select below. If you have more than one camera, please order additional camera cables.

The Pluto Valve, together with the Pluto Trigger, enables you to take photos of water drops colliding in mid-air (for splash photography)!
See the Valve Guide to help you get started with using the Pluto Valve.
The battery may not be included in your package due to delivery issues. It is a standard 12V 23A battery. You can find one in most local stores, or on eBay or Amazon.
Most DSLR and SLR cameras can be triggered remotely using a shutter release cable. Unfortunately, the connectors used for the external release have rather different shapes. We have 13 types of cables to support more than 300 camera models. Refer to the pairing tabs to find out which cable is right for your camera. When you get a new camera, you only need a new camera cable to keep using Pluto Trigger!
Since there is IR remote function designed into Pluto Trigger, you may still be able to trigger your camera even without a camera cable.
Pluto Trigger is generally connected to your camera via camera cable. But sometimes the camera needs to be placed far away from the Pluto Trigger, such as when using laser mode; in this case, the camera cable is not long enough. The RF Transmitter & Receiver, however, can be used to make a wireless connection between your camera and Pluto Trigger! The transmitter is connected to the camera port of Pluto Trigger, and the receiver is connected to the camera. The RF transmission range extends up to 100 meters.
If you have more than one camera to shoot an event from different angles, you may want to set off every one of those cameras at the same time. This can be accomplished by using the RF Transmitter & Receiver and additional receivers. You can trigger an unlimited number of cameras simultaneously in this way! The synchronization speed reaches up to 1/200 second.
The Receiver can also be used to trigger your speedlight flash or studio flash. The adapter is included.
The Transmitter and the Receiver each requires 2*AAA batteries. Batteries are not included.
